We have been working together in music ministry since our marriage in April 1981. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Ken attended East Coast Bible College in Charlotte North Cariolina. Charlotte grew up in a musical family in Eastern Kentucky. Charlotte and her two sisters developed a singing style consisting of close, three part harmonies similar to the Andrews Sisters. Ken began playing guitar in the seventh grade.
Our music minisry at the Monroe Church of God began in 2003. We sing and play a variety of instruments (piano, organ, guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin). Music has always been an important part of our lives.
Each person that is a part of our music ministry is encouraged to use their talents in service to God's kingdom work. As Christians gather together in thankfulness and adoration, as well as to edify and to evangelize, they experience a foretaste of heaven, where ‘every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, [sings], “To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honour and glory and might forever and ever!
